- How To Identify An Ineligible Underground Storage Tank:
The absence of valid operating tags identifies an ineligible underground
storage tank. Montana also provides a "Do Not Fill List"
on its Web site (see below). The operating tag should be posted
on the fill pipe or other equally conspicuous location on the tank. Registration
fees are required annually, and inspection and permitting are required every
three years.
