U.S. – Mexico border environmental achievements in cleaner air, water infrastructure improvements and the removal of millions of abandoned tires are among the highlights of this video, sponsored by the U.S. EPA and Mexico’s environmental ministry SEMARNAT (Secretaria de Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales), showcasing successes achieved through the Border 2012 Program.

Among the accomplishments mentioned in the video are:

The Border 2012 U.S.-Mexico Environmental Program works to protect the environment and public health for ten states on both sides of the 2,000-mile border, including 26 U.S. tribes. Border 2012 seeks to reduce pollution in water, air, and on land, reduce exposure to chemicals from accidental releases and improve environmental stewardship by industry.
