ACTION: Notice. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SUMMARY: This notice announces the order to amend the existing stocks provision as written in the cancellation order published in theFederal Register on March 29, 2006 (71 FR 15731) (FRL-7771-4) to allow the distribution and sale of end-use products containing the pesticide azinphos-methyl, for use on cranberries until August 15, 2006. This will allow distribution and sale for use on cranberries for the 2006 season, as contemplated by the March 29, 2006, cancellation order. The stop use date for these end-use products is still September 30, 2006, as provided in the March 29 order. This action is directed to the public in general, and may be of interest to a wide range of stakeholders including environmental, human health, and agricultural advocates; the chemical industry; pesticide users; and members of the public interested in the sale, distribution, or use of pesticides. What is the Agency's Authority for Taking this Action? Section 6(f)(1) of FIFRA provides that a registrant of a pesticide product may at any time request that any of its pesticide registrations be canceled or amended to terminate one or more uses. [[Page 38149]] FIFRA further provides that, before acting on the request, EPA must publish for public comment a notice of receipt of any such request in the Federal Register. III. Amendment to Existing Stocks Order The cancellation order published in the Federal Register on March 29, 2006 (71 FR 15731) (FRL-7771-4) is hereby amended to allow the distribution and sale of existing stocks of the end-use products listed in Table 1, in Unit II.A. for use on cranberries until August 15, 2006.
