Air Quality Forecast

Forecast maps showing the predicted Air Quality Index (AQI) throughout New England, New York and New Jersey are created and updated on a daily basis. The maps represent both forecasted ozone and particle pollution levels, with the pollutant with the highest predicted concentration illustrated for each geographic area on the map. These predictions are made by state air quality staff using forecasted meteorological conditions as well as current ambient ozone and particle concentrations gathered from state air monitoring stations.
