Branford/Greenwich, CT
The Branford/Greenwich "No Discharge Area" encompasses Branford harbor to Captain Harbor in Greenwich. It includes the coastal towns of Branford, East Haven, New Haven, West Haven, Orange, Milford, Stratford, Bridgeport, Fairfield, Westport, Norwalk, Darien, Stamford, and Greenwich. It also includes the navigable reach of all Connecticut rivers, tidal streams that drain into Long Island Sound within its bounds, including the Housatonic River from the Derby Dam and the Quinnipiac River from the southern border of North Haven.
The State of Connecticut has certified that there are 43 pumpout facilities located within the area. The area was designated June 15, 2007.

Groton/Guilford, CT
Groton / Guilford "No Discharge Area" in Connecticut encompasses Eastern Point in Groton to Hoadley Point in Guilford. It includes the coastal towns of New London, Waterford, East Lyme, Old Lyme, Old Saybrook, Westbrook, Clinton, Madison, and Guilford. It also includes the navigable reaches of the Hammonasset River, Menunketesuck River, Niantic River, Thames River and the Connecticut River within state boundaries.
The state of Connecticut has certified that there are 36 pumpout facilities located within the proposed area. There are 29 fixed shore-based facilities, four portable, three pumpout boats, and ten dump stations. The area was designated on May 12, 2006.

Mystic/Groton, CT
The Mystic/Groton "No Discharge Area" in Connecticut encompasses the area between Wamphassuc Point and Eastern Point, including portions of Fisher's Island Sound, Pine Island Bay, Backer Cove, Mumford Cove, West Cove, Mystic Harbor, Mystic River, Quiambog Cove, lower portions of the Poquommock River and lower portions of Palmer Cove in Connecticut.
The State of Connecticut has certified that there are 11 pumpout facilities located within the area. The area was designated on September 24, 2004.

The Peconic Bay "No Discharge Area" in New York encompasses the towns of East Hampton, Riverhead, Shelter Island, Southampton, and Southold, and the Villages of Dering Harbor, Greenport, North Haven, and Sag Harbor. The state of New York has certified that there are 36 pumpout facilities.

Stonnington, CT
The Stonnington "No Discharge Area" in Connecticut encompasses the Connecticut portions of the Pawcatuck River, Little Narraganestt Bay, portions of Fisher Island Sound and all of Stonnington Harbor. The state of Connecticut has certified that there are three pumpout facilities located within this area: Shoreside facilities are located at Dodson Boatyard and Northwest Marina. The third facility is a pumpout boat berthed at the Westerly Yacht Club. The area was designated on August 22, 2003.
