Boothbay Harbor, ME
Boothbay Harbor was designated a No Discharge Area on March 25, 2009. There are 6 pumpouts facilities available to service vessels.
Camden, Rockport, Rockland, and portions of Owls Head
The state of Maine has petitioned EPA to designate the municipal waters of Camden, Rockport, Rockland, and portions of Owls Head as a No Discharge Area. EPA has reviewed the submitted application and has published a "Receipt of Petition" in the Federal Register on July 13, 2009 for a 30 day public comment period. The State of Maine has certified that there are six pumpout facilities located with this area: Harbormaster's office in Camden, Wayfarer Marine in Camden, Journey's End Marina, Landings Marina, Trident Yacht Basin and the public landing, all in Rockland. There will be a 30 day comment period which runs from July 13, 2009 to August 13, 2009.
Casco Bay, ME
Casco Bay became the first coastal no discharge area in Maine on June 27, 2006. The area encompasses all contiguous state waters north and east of Cape Elizabeth Light in Cape Elizabeth to Bald Point in Phippsburg. The area also includes the navigable reaches of the Fore River, Presumpscot River, Royal River, Cousins River, Harraseeket River, and the New Meadows River.
The State of Maine has certified that there are twenty pumpout facilities located within the area. There are 11 fixed shore-based facilities, seven portable facilities, one pumpout boat, and one dump station.

Kennebunk, Kennebunkport, and Wells, ME
Kennebunk, Kennebunkport, and Wells was designated a No Discharge Area on June 10, 2009. There are 5 pumpouts facilities available to service vessels.
Southern Mount Desert - Mount Desert, Southwest Harbor, portions of Cranberry Isles, and Tremont
The waters of Mount Desert, Southwest Harbor, portions of the Cranberry Isles, and Tremont were designated as a No Discharge Area on July 15, 2009. There are six pumpout facilities available to service vessels.
