No Discharge Areas in Rhode Island

As of August 1998 all of the marine waters in the State of Rhode Island are "No Discharge Areas". The Great Salt Pond on Block Island has been designated as a "No Discharge Area" since June 1993.

There are 57 pumpout facilities available to service vessels in the coastal waters of Rhode Island, and more coming on line.
