Environmental Management Reviews (EMRs)
An Environmental Management Review is a review of an individual facility's environmental program and management systems to determine the extent to which a facility has developed and implemented specific environmental protection programs and plans. If properly managed, these should ensure compliance and progress towards environmental excellence. This Region has played a major role in the development of the national EMR policy and conducting EMRs. The Federal Facility Program developed the EMR protocol and conducted more than 30 EMRs since 1994.
