EPA New England has determined that municipal highway vehicle maintenance facilities will not be required to submit an NOI by March 10, 2003 for permit coverage under the NPDES Storm Water Multi-Sector Permit for Industrial Activities. However, EPA New England is currently determining the need to regulate these facilities in the future based on the collective significance of their pollutant discharges. Additional guidance will be posted on this site in the near future regarding this topic and permit requirements for other municipal facilities.
