Brochures and Fact Sheets

Clean School Bus USA is offering multiple copies of a brochure and fact sheet on clean school buses, which can be ordered free from EPA's National Service Center for Environmental Publications (NSCEP). If you would like to request these materials you can do so by calling 1-513-489-8190 or 1-800-490-9198 or by sending an e-mail to ncep@bps-lmit.com. To request the Clean School Bus brochure ask for “Tomorrow's Buses for Today's Children,” EPA420-F-03-039. To request the Clean School Bus Fact Sheet ask for “What You Should Know About Reducing Diesel Exhaust from School Buses,” EPA420-F-03-038.

Other Retrofit Materials

There are also other publications about retrofitting diesel buses available at NSCEP and on EPA's web site http://www.epa.gov/otaq/schoolbus/outreach.htm.

Earth Day Event Materials

Clean School Bus USA is also offering materials specifically designed to help you plan and implement an Earth Day event. These materials are available electronically in Microsoft Word format by sending an Email to: cleanschoolbususa@epa.gov. The materials available are: 1) template for a Certificate of Recognition; 2) Sample Press Release; 3) Sample Local Proclamations (one for idling reduction and another for Clean School Bus); and 4) Ideas for Earth Day Activities. Bookmarks and temporary tattoos are also available by sending an E-mail to: cleanschoolbususa@epa.gov.

Certificates of Recognition

You may also order a Certificate of Recognition from EPA. Send an e-mail message to cleanschoolbususa@epa.gov with the name of the person to be recognized and a brief description of the program and the actions/events for which the recognition will be made. The Certificate of Recognition will be printed by EPA, signed by an EPA representative, and sent by Federal Express to you for presentation at your event. If you would like the certificate to also include a line for signature by your local signing official, please include that information. In order to ensure delivery, please include full address for Federal Express delivery including a contact name and a phone number.
