Ethics Training for Members and Consultants Serving on the HSRB
New HSRB Chair and Vice Chair
The Environmental Protection Agency is pleased to announce the appointments of Drs. Sean Philpott and Jan Chambers as Chair and Vice Chair, respectively, of the Human Studies Review Board (HSRB). Dr. Sean Philpott is Director of Research Ethics at The Bioethics Program, Union Graduate College-Mt. Sinai School of Medicine. Dr. Philpott leads The Bioethics Program, which provides competency based bioethics education for those who seek the skills, credentials and specialized expertise demanded of today's bioethics professionals. Dr. Chambers is the William L. Giles Distinguished Professor and Director, Center for Environmental Health Sciences Professor, Department of Basic Sciences at Mississippi State University. Dr. Chambers directs several research projects that deal with the effects of pesticides in mammalian systems to determine the potential human health effects of pesticide exposures.
