How To Identify An Ineligible Underground Storage Tank:
The application of a red tag identifies an ineligible underground storage tank. Deliveries to these tanks are prohibited. Red tags are administered and applied by individual fire departments. Annual registration of tanks is required to receive deliveries. The certificate of registration should be posted in a conspicuous location. Permits are also required for underground storage tanks. The original permit or a copy must be posted in a conspicuous location.
