Final Specification for Flushing Urinals Announced

With the release of the Flushing
Urinals Final Specification, EPA's WaterSense program has given
manufacturers who produce urinal fixtures and flushing devices meeting
EPA’s efficiency and performance criteria, the opportunity
to earn the WaterSense label. Please review the Flushing

Draft Specification for Showerheads Announced
Published September 2009
On September 24, 2009, WaterSense released the draft Specification
for Showerheads. The draft specification will be open for review

WaterSense Information Request Renewal
Published August 2009
On July 28, 2009, EPA published a notice in the Federal Register
requesting comments on the renewal of the WaterSense Information
Collection Request (ICR). The ICR outlines the type of information
collected by the program in support of its partnerships, products,
and services. Comments must be submitted through www.regulations.gov
by September 28, 2009. Please read the full notice

When Water Reaches Its Peak, Savings Are in Store
Published July 2009
As water use spikes, so do consumers’ water bills. “Peak”
water use describes the time of year when residential water use
is at its highest, usually in late July or early August, due to
additional landscape watering, outdoor summer activities from sprinklers
to car washing, and indoor activities such as washing beach towels
