Air Toxics Training Opportunities
Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) Workshops
The 2009 TRI workshops were presented in April, May, and June, 2009. US EPA HQ and Region 4 sponsored twenty FREE TRI Training Sessions. There were three different options: a) One-Day TRI Training, b) Web-Based TRI Introduction , and c) Web-Based TRI Advanced. The TRI workshop schedule for 2010 will be announced on the TRI website at http://www.epa.gov/tri in the Spring of 2010.
There are two interactive training modules available through the Region 4 TRI website at http://www.epa.gov/tri/training/2009training/training09.htm. The first module is the Basic Concepts (Begin Basic Concepts Online Training Module) and the second module is the Advanced Concepts (Begin Advanced Concepts Online Training Module.)
(Note: These modules include audio and require the Adobe Flash player.)
Risk Screening Environmental Indicators (RSEI) Workshops
Region 4 hosted two half-day workshops on the use of the Risk Screening Environmental Indicators (RSEI) program in December of 2008. In the past, EPA and Region 4 state personnel were invited. This year, we invited industry personnel from facilities with large quantities of emissions or large Relative Risk values. There were 23 participants, part industry and part EPA and Region 4 state personnel. We hope to repeat these workshops toward the end of 2009.
