John Deere in Davenport, Iowa, reported a savings of more than $300,000 as a result of their energy reduction project.
3M in Valley, Mo., reported a cost savings of more than $100,000 resulting from environmental projects from July to December 2006.

Spotlight on Success
The Vermeer Corporation facility in Pella, Iowa, exceeded three of their three-year goals in their first year as a Performance Track member. Non-hazardous waste was reduced by 443 tons, water use by 5.6 million gallons, and air emissions (PM10) by 1,292 pounds. Their Performance Track environmental goals were exceeded by an average of 107 percent.
The Rockwell Collins facility in Coralville, Iowa, chose water-use reduction as one of their Performance Track environmental projects. In three years, they exceeded their goal by more than 2.5 million gallons.
The Firestone Agricultural Tire Company in Des Moines, Iowa, achieved their hazardous material use reduction project goal by reducing use from 198,880 pounds to zero in three years.
The Monsanto Company in Muscatine, Iowa, committed to reducing their use of non-transportation energy as one of their Performance Track projects. The facility exceeded their environmental goal by more than 29 metric tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) equivalent during their three-year project.
The Rockwell Collins facility in Wichita, Kan., exceeded their non-transportation energy use reduction goal by 155 metric tons of CO2 equivalent during the three years of this environmental Performance Track project.
