The Trouble with Nurdles

Nurdles are the tiny bits of plastic that are melted down and used in the production of plastic bags, bubble wrap, packaging and wrapping material. They can be responsible for the sickness and death of fish and birds when they are mistaken for food.

Greening Mission Bay in San Francisco

Thanks to EPA funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, San Francisco's Mission Bay community is now connected to surrounding neighborhoods previously isolated by Interstate-280. Underserved residents now have direct access to the Bay, new parks and open space, and neighborhood shopping.
