2007 Council Grants:
Caribe Girl Scouts Council
Project Title: Vieques Sea Turtle Conservation and Educational Project
Project Description: Girl Scouts of the Vieques community will become conservation leaders and stewards of the Caribbean sea turtles. They will explore the natural habitat of the sea turtles, discover environmental science career possibilities, implement several clean ups and recycling programs at the beaches, and participate in several hiking and overnight camping activities to identify, observe and monitor the turtles. The girls will identify their community needs and come up with realistic conservation action plans.
