Population Ecology Branch
The Population Ecology Branch conducts research to improve understanding of the response of populations of fish, shellfish and aquatic-dependent wildlife to anthropogenic stress. Research focuses include development of methods to predict how populations respond to stress, development and verification of population models for use in ecological risk assessment, development of methods and data for extrapolating response across levels of biological organization, and characterization of population-level mechanisms that compensate for stress.
