Population Ecology Branch
The Population Ecology Branch conducts research on the response of populations of fish, shellfish, & aquatic-dependent wildlife to human activity. Research includes:
- developing methods to predict how populations respond to stress,
- developing & verifying population models for use in ecological risk assessment,
- developing methods & data for estimating response across levels of biological organization, &
- characterizing population-level mechanisms that compensate for stress.
