Down Memory Lane

Intergenerational Description of Joint Project
This project is focused on a senior citizen reflecting on her past and her lifelong joy of dancing. We brought together three generations of people to express the poetry of dance with nature to tell this story. Working together as an intergenerational team was a special experience because no mater what age we were able to share the knowledge and love for dance.

Celebration of Rachel Carson’s Sense of Wonder
Dancing outside was such a freeing experience, unlike performing on any stage. We feel that dance and nature together serves a special purpose in this world.

I believe for every drop of rain that falls
A flower grows,
I believe that somewhere in the darkest night
A candle glows, I believe for everyone who goes astray,
Someone will come to show the way,
I believe, I believe.

I believe above the storm a smallest prayer
Will still be heard,
I believe that someone in the great somewhere
Hears every word,
Every time I hear a newborn baby cry,
Or touch a leaf, or see the sky,
Then I know why,
I believe.

Every time I hear a newborn baby cry,
Or touch a leaf, or see the sky,
Then I know why,
I believe.
