Wonder of Nature

Intergenerational Description of Joint Project

I, Nia Anthony started working on this project with Jameese Smith about six weeks ago. Our entry is for the song writing category. We are in connection by my Mother, Alondra Raphael. Jameese and my Mother have been friends for thirty years. My Mother decided that we should meet because we both love nature and music so much. I love writing and chose to write a short stanza poem. Jameese put the poem to music and is the singer on our entry. It is very exciting that even with our distances, we were able to collaborate via technology and share our amazing picture video with song, about nature.

Celebration of Rachel Carson’s Sense of Wonder

Jameese and I have experienced nature all over the globe. Jameese lives in Southern California, my Mother’s beautiful home state. I live in Maryland with its lush green trees and winter snow. We often exchanged pictures of nature from the different coasts. It’s fun and exciting to share nature with an older person because you can get a better understanding of how important it is to keep the oceans and environment beautiful for the next generations to enjoy.
