Photography Contest Winners
Winners: The residents of Dosker Manor: Louisville, KY
The residents of Dosker Manor, Kentucky’s largest public housing development for the older adults and disabled individuals planted and tended a garden in Louisville. Raised beds were installed and adaptive tools were purchased so people with physical limitations or persons in wheel chairs could be involved. Brightly colored flowers were planted to persons with low vision could appreciate the garden. Older adults and the disabled worked side by side. Those unable to participate offered encouragement to those who worked the garden or contributed garden art or plants.
