Advancing Colorado's Renewable Energy Program

Description The Colorado Agricultural Value-Added Development Board administers the Advancing Colorado’s Renewable Energy (ACRE) Program, which provides funding to promote energy-related projects beneficial to Colorado's agriculture. Program grants can support feasibility studies (up to $25,000) and research-related activities (up to $50,000). If a feasibility study has been previously conducted demonstrating the likely success of the project, the Board can also provide funding to assist with the development of a project. Funds can be used to assist with the purchase or lease of equipment, construction costs, and land costs. A maximum funding allocation of $100,000 has been established by the Board for project participations and may take the form of a grant, loan, loan guarantee, or equity interest.
