Environmental Trust

Description The Nebraska Environmental Trust was established in 1992 to conserve, enhance, and restore the natural environments of Nebraska. The Trust especially seeks projects that bring public and private partners together collaboratively to implement high-quality, cost-effective projects. Until July 2010, the Trust will consider funding proposals in the following priority areas: habitat, surface and ground water, waste management, air quality, and soil management. There is no maximum grant amount.

Matching funds are not required in any amount or percentage. However, it is very unusual for the Trust to fund 100 percent of a project.

How to Apply The Nebraska Environmental Trust accepts grant applications annually, usually in September.
