| Description | New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) is administering $11 million in incentives to support the installation and operation of anaerobic digesters. One funding support that NYSERDA offers is a $500 per kilowatt capacity incentive to cover a portion of the total purchase and installation costs of the anaerobic digester gas-fueled electric power generation equipment including: controls, meters, biogas clean-up equipment, emissions control equipment, and interconnection equipment; and costs associated with engineering services. The maximum capacity incentive shall not exceed the lesser of $350,000 or 50 percent of the total purchase, engineering services, and installation costs. Also available are performance incentive payments for anaerobic digester biogas-fueled electricity generation for up to three years. Two types of performance incentives are offered (1) new systems (built after 2/12/07) at $0.10 per kilowatt-hour and (2) existing systems built between 1/1/03 and 2/12/07 at $0.02 per kWh. |
