Description A Dairy Farm Anaerobic Digester Grant provides financial support for the installation of a commercially available anaerobic digester system at eligible Wisconsin dairy farms. A maximum grant of $250,000 will be available to provide financial support. Grants cannot exceed 25 percent of the cost of the digester system. The actual grant award is based on an estimate of the quantity of energy from any of the following: electricity, utilized heat, and biogas the anaerobic digester system will produce in one year. Other types of grants, such as for feasibility studies are also available.

The renewable energy system must be installed on a site owned by a customer of an electric utility participating with Focus on Energy (if the renewable energy system will offset electricity) or a participating natural gas utility (if the renewable energy system will offset natural gas).
