| Description |
The State Assistance Fund for Enterprise, Business, and Industrial Development Corporation (SAFE-BIDCO) administers a program, which includes provisions for low-interest loans for renewable energy systems. The costs of the design and consulting fees for an anaerobic digester, along with material and equipment costs incurred after SAFE-BIDCO's acknowledgement of the receipt of the application can be financed under the program. The maximum loan amount is $450,000 with an interest rate set at Wall Street Journal prime, and fixed for the life of the loan. The maximum loan term is 15 years, and can sometimes be combined with other financing. Eligible applicants need to have a net worth of $6 million or less and an average net income of $2 million or less. |
