Biography

Steven D. Acree is a Hydrologist in GWERD's Applied Research and Technical Support Branch. He holds a B.S. degree in chemistry from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and received his M.S. degree in geology from the University of South Carolina. For the past several years, he has provided both site-specific and technology transfer assistance to USEPA Regional and Headquarters offices in the areas of ground-water flow, contaminant transport/fate processes, and subsurface remediation. His interests include innovative techniques for characterization of subsurface hydrology and effects of heterogeneity on subsurface processes and remedial design.
