Nonattainment Areas Map -

Map shading indicates whether counties are attaining national air quality standards. A county (or part of it) is designated "nonattainment" if air pollution levels persistently exceed the standards. A map may include optional features such as city locations and boundaries of Class I areas, as shown in this example.
