State and Regional Listing
Brief summaries of the maintenance plans submitted to EPA have been prepared for each redesignated area. These summaries include the name of the area, the Federal Register notice and date, the effective date of the redesignation, descriptions of the control measures implemented by each maintenance area, emissions information, the triggers used to initiate contingency measures, what the specific contingency measures entail, a schedule for implementation, and an EPA contact for further information. Nine Regions and 23 States contain redesignated ozone nonattainment areas. (Click the Acronyms button for a list of acronyms and abbreviations used in the maintenance plan summaries.)
