The Innovative Programs and Outreach Group (IPOG) develops and manages new voluntary programs and identifies and implements strategies for enhancing the flexibility of existing OAQPS regulations and programs. The Group is the focal point for communicating and marketing OAQPS' highest priority programs and OID's programs, providing environmental education on air pollution issues, and working with stakeholders to develop innovative strategies to improve air quality. IPOG also provides leadership and expertise to develop and distribute educational materials, which improve public understanding of air pollution issues and effectively communicate the air program's mission and goals.
Specifically, the nnovative Programs Outreach Group:
- Develops and manages new voluntary programs and identifies and implements strategies for enhancing the flexibility of existing OAQPS regulations and programs;
- Communicates and markets OAQPS’ highest priority programs and OID’s programs;
- Provides environmental education and distributes educational materials on air pollution issues;
- Works with stakeholders to develop innovative strategies to improve air quality;
- Responsible for the Office’s woodsmoke programs (e.g. wood stoves, outdoor wood-fired hydronic heaters, etc.).
