The Group Leader of the National Air Data Group (NADG) reports to the Director, OID.
The NADG manages the design, operation, maintenance, and continual improvement of wide-scale
data bases and information system platforms which assist the development and implementation
of air programs. The Group assesses current information system technologies and works closely
with the Information Transfer Group and other OAQPS program groups to define and develop new
program information management tools and strategies to continually improve information management
systems to meet customer and user needs. Customers and users include: OAQPS, EPA Headquarters
and Regional Offices, State and local agencies, industry, consultants, environmental groups,
and the international environmental community.
Principal responsibilities include:
- Manages the design, operation, maintenance, and continual improvement of wide-scale data bases and information system platforms which assist the development and implementation of air programs (e.g. Emissions Inventory System, Air Quality Subsystem); and
- Assesses current information system technologies and works closely with other OAQPS program groups to define and develop new program information management tools and strategies to continually improve information management systems.
