Responsibilities

The Group Leader of the Regulatory Development and Policy Analysis Group (RDPAG) is responsible for protecting public health and the environment by promulgating regulations in response to Clean Air Act section 112 mandates related to area sources of hazardous air pollutants (HAPs). RDPAG promulgates other non-area source-related rules (e.g. under CAA sections 111 and 129) as needed in support of OID and OAQPS mission and priorities. In carrying out its rule development efforts, the Group interacts with Agency scientists, engineers, economists, and attorneys, other Federal agencies, industry and other stakeholders, and the public.

Principal functions include:

  • Promulgates certain Clean Air Act section 112 area source regulations and non-area source rules (e.g. under CAA sections 111 and 129) as needed; and
  • Develops associated implementation materials.
