PAMS Data Access
Note: EPA no longer updates this information, but it may be useful as a reference or resource.
- This area contains all available PAMS data collected at 1-, 3-, and 24-hour intervals for the years 1994 - 1997.
- The data files were generated from the Aerometric Information and Retrieval System (AIRS) on September 15, 1998. These files will be updated periodically.
- Data were partitioned into separate AIRS AMP-370 format files by Site x Year x Interval (1-, 3-, or 24-hour). All AMP-370 files for a particular site were compressed together in a '.zip' format file (using PKZIP). Use PKUNZIP to uncompress the files. Download PKUNZIP
- AIRS AMP-370 files are ASCII files. A record format file (recfmt.txt), parameter code reference file (parm.txt), and units reference file (units.txt) are available in a compressed file. Download refer.zip
- To download a compressed data file set, double click on the file name (xxxxx.zip). In general, the compressed files will include data for all years the site is shown to have operated.
- See additional notes and data qualifications at the end of table.

Notes:
- Sites shown in parenthesis are listed multiple times. Within the predominant network these sites serve, the names are not shown in parentheses. These sites (and others) have multiple site Type designations. The first listed Type is the respective one for that particular network. For Type definitions see PAMS Site Descriptions in the General Information section of this website.
- Data are not available for all sites shown on the PAMS Status Report in the Networks & Sites section of this website. Even sites that are indicated to be operating for a particular year may not have yet reported data for that year to AIRS.
- Conversely, limited data may be available for sites and/or years that were not shown to be operating because that site may have been operating in some other capacity prior to inclusion into (or subsequent to exclusion from) a PAMS network.
- EPA does not require upper air meteorological data to be submitted to AIRS; however, the forthcoming new AIRS will eventually accommodate these data sets.
- Data are subject to change!
