PART 6: Journal Documentation

At the end of the class period, students should have the following in their Journals:
1) A picture of a Superfund Site. A definition of SUPERFUND.

2) A labeled diagram of the underground storage tank.

3) A labeled diagram of the weed gathered from the school campus.

4) A labeled diagram of the 2 plants in which one was covered with plastic with an explanation and definition of transpiration.

5) A labeled diagram of either the celery stalk or the paper strip experiment with an explanation and a definition of the action of PHYTOREMEDIATION.

If not complete, students may finish as homework and write a short paper on What is Phytoremediation?

It is important that each student keep a Documentation Journal of all concepts and exercises. This not only enhances organization of information, it improves memory and affords the student with an excellent study reference.
