Regulatory Support Projects
ERD provides regulatory support to the Agency through problem-driven research that addresses specific needs of EPA's program offices. These projects are focused directly on problems defined by several program offices that include
- Ellington and Evans' method for the analysis of perchlorate (PDF, 12 pp., 161 KB, about PDF)
- Modeling and evaluation of oil spill dispersants for the Oil Program Center
- Evaluation of Methyl tert-Butyl Ether (MTBE) for the Office of Underground Storage Tanks
- Development of on-line calculators and training for Subsurface Transport of Petroleum Hydrocarbons and other contaminants
- Determining the occurrence of drinking water disinfection by-products for the Office of Water
- Development of multimedia modeling capability for the Office of Solid Waste
- Compilation of estimated and measured chemical properties
