Education:
Ph.D. Forest and Natural Resources Management (Forest Hydrology and Watershed Management), SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, Syracuse, NY, 2007
Dissertation: Role of multiple stressors on watershed nitrogen response across New York State
M.A. Geography (Physical Geography and Geomorphology), East Carolina University, Greenville, NC, 1998
B.S. Earth Science, Frostburg State University Frostburg, MD, 1995
Expertise:
- Multi-scale estimates of atmospheric, landscape, and topographically-regulated sources and fate of nutrients to surface water systems using spatial modeling techniques
- Rates and patterns of atmospheric deposition of nitrogen to watersheds using multiple techniques and GIS-based modeling approaches in a variety of land use settings (forested, agricultural, sub-urban)
Current Research Interests:
- Modeling watershed-scale fate and transport of coupled stressors on aquatic ecosystems
- Linking process-based and statistical watershed modeling approaches for ecological risk and exposure assessments
