Richard G. Zepp
My current research is focused on assessing environmental pathogen fate and transport, carbon nanomaterial transformations, and biogeochemical cycles, especially carbon cycle, nitrogen cycle, and trace metal cycles. One emphasis is on photochemical and photobiological processes in aquatic and terrestrial environments, including direct and sensitized photoreactions (of nanomaterials, pesticides, polycyclic aromatics, halogenated pollutants, metals); light-initiated free radical reactions; and photoreactions on soil and plant surfaces. Kinetic, mechanistic and photoproduct studies relevant to risk assessment are drivers of these studies.
