There are many good Web sites and more all the time. Below are some starting points, but for a specific topic or keyword, use a search engine such as www.google.com Exit EPA Disclaimerto find additional resources.

Aquatic Resources Monitoring This site was developed by EPA's Environmental Monitoring and Assessment Program (EMAP) to explain the use of probability (survey) designs for environmental monitoring programs. Very good documentation and explanation of EMAP's approach and how other programs can benefit from a survey design.

Concepts and Applications of Inferential Statistics Exit EPA Disclaimerby Richard Lowry A full-length statistics textbook that provides good readable descriptions of most univariate and bivariate tests in both their parametric and nonparametric forms. Includes explanations of statistical concepts with some interactive examples.

Electronic Statistics Textbook Exit EPA Disclaimerby Statsoft, Inc. Searchable Web site with more detailed narrative descriptions of common statistical  techniques and methods.

Ordination Methods for EcologistsExit EPA Disclaimerby Michael Palmer More mathematical detail and detailed treatment of multivariate methods. Glossary of multivariate terms and links to software sites and other multivariate resources.
