NEW HAMPSHIRE STUDENTS RECEIVE ENVIRONMENTAL AWARDS

BOSTON -- EPA-New England Senior Policy Advisor Mindy Lubber joined Manchester Channel 9 Weatherman Mike Haddad in recognizing New Hampshire's winners of the 25th Annual Poem and Poster Contest during a ceremony today at the Holiday Inn in Manchester.
Thousands of New England school children participated in this program that fosters greater awareness and concern about the environment. Teachers set aside time for students in grades kindergarten through six to discuss environmental issues, and then prepare a poem or poster reflecting that theme.
