  • On November 16 -18, 1998, EPA co-sponsored Brownfields '98: The Basics and Beyond Showcasing Successful Partnerships in Los Angeles, California.

  • During July 12 -24, 1998, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Morgan State University co-sponsored the EPA Summer Teachers' Institute, for the sixth consecutive year. This year, the Institute was held at the Morgan State University campus in Northeast Baltimore.

  • The Journal of Natural Resources and Environmental Law (JNREL) Symposium on Brownfields was held in Lexington, Kentucky on April 3 and 4, 1998. JNREL is a legal journal published at the University of Kentucky College of Law. The topic of this year's symposium was brownfields law and policy.

  • Americans for Indian Opportunity (AIO), an EPA cooperative agreement recipient, hosted a grant writing workshop on February 23-24, 1998 in Denver, Colorado.

    The purpose of this AIO workshop was to assist tribes in submitting Brownfields pilot grant applications for the March 23, 1998 deadline.
