Anaheim Redevelopment Agency Makes $600,000 Loan for Cleanup of Kwikset Property |
On April 5, 2005, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency in Anaheim, California, closed on a $600,000 intra-governmental loan. The loan is the first for the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency which was awarded a $1,000,000 EPA Brownfields Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) grant in 2003. The loan assisted with cleanup costs associated with the Kwikset property, a 16-acre former metal-plating manufacturing facility. Cleanup was completed in November 2005, with the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency leveraging over $2.5 million in additional funds. Currently, the property is targeted for residential redevelopment.
