Sigma Energy Solutions is an engineering and advisory services company focused primarily on the power industry. Sigma has been providing engineering and consulting solutions to the power sector since the earlys 1970's. Sigma focuses on two major value streams: technical advisory and consulting services, and design engineering. Sigma has provided detailed engineering and design services on many combined heat and power (CHP) projects, including power plant, substation, and other heavy industrial projects. Sigma possesses a full spectrum of engineering services from early project planning support, including feasibility studies through licensing and permitting, detailed engineering and design, project managament, construction management, start-up and testing support, operating training, and operation and maintenance support. The projects performed include a variety of fuels, including coal and natural gas, and use a variety of prime movers, including fluidized bed and conventional boilers, combustion turbines and gas-fired reciprocating engines. Facilties have included a containerized plant using a gas-fired reciprocating engine as its prime mover (500kW), a coal fired facility providing power to the local utiltity grid (50 MW) and high temperature hot water to a local thermal host and combined heat and power plants over 300 MW. | |
