Incentive Size and Funding SourceThe CHP program offers two forms of financial incentives:
  • Payment of $250 per kilowatt of net system capacity payment.
  • Production payment of $0.07/kWh for net electricity produced during the 18 months following system commissioning.
Total incentive payments are capped at $2,000,000 per project and 50% of total cost.
Eligible RecipientPepco commercial, industrial, governmental, institutional, non-profit and multi-family electric customers for the purchase and installation of one or more qualifying CHP Systems in the Pepco Maryland service territory.
