Incentive Size and Funding SourceFunding to help agricultural producers enter into value-added activities related to the processing and/or marketing of bio-based value-added products is available for economic planning activities or working capital expenses.

The solicitation for carry over funding from FY 2013 closed April 8, 2014. Should additional funding for this program be made available during FY 2014, the Rural Business-Cooperative Service will continue to fund applications. At this time, the exact amount of funding that will be made available to this program for FY 2014 is unknown.

Other Selected Eligibility CriteriaAnaerobic digester projects are a stated target of this grant. Grant funds are available for economic planning activities or for working capital expenses related to the processing and/or marketing of value-added products that result from new or existing digester projects. New digester proposals may include renewable energy generation components and post-digestion components as value-added products. Existing digester proposals may include post-digestion components only.
