Policy SummaryKentucky's Energy Plan, "Intelligent Energy Choices for Kentucky's Future," provides a framework around existing policies so that the state can increase its use of renewable energy sources and improve energy efficiency. The Plan outlines seven strategies to reduce dependence on imported energy sources, implement energy efficiency and conservation, and reduce energy use and emissions. CHP is briefly addressed in Strategy 1 ("Improve the Energy Efficiency of Kentucky's Homes, Buildings, Industries and Transportation Fleet") as one method for meeting the goals and strategies outlined in the energy plan.
