California
Over the past three decades, California has developed and implemented a comprehensive portfolio of climate change and clean energy programs that have resulted in significant energy savings and avoided emissions through energy efficiency, renewable energy, and clean distributed generation. Through the Climate and Energy State Partnership, California will work to further implement policies and programs to achieve its energy and environmental policy goals, demonstrate success, and share lessons learned with other States. California will further its climate change and clean energy goals using a collaborative, multi-agency approach with input from stakeholders and the public. Its efforts will provide valuable analysis, technical information and demonstrated results that other states can learn from as they develop their own clean energy programs.
