Connecticut

Clean Energy Environment State Program

Through its continuing collaboration with public, private, nonprofit, and academic institutions, Connecticut will implement programs on energy efficiency and clean energy – all the while improving the state’s economic competitiveness, enhancing its environment, and promoting energy independence. Connecticut expects that this partnership will employ quantitative analyses that will provide data that will reveal hidden externalities – that is, the true costs and benefits – of contemplated public policy initiatives on climate change as they effect the environment, public health, economic development, and energy security and reliability. In the true spirit of democracy, this partnership will engage multiple sectors, foster an open exchange of ideas, and formulate recommendations that represent the best thinking of all concerned.
