Georgia
Through the partnership, Georgia will:
- Explore the potential for clean energy projects to support Georgia’s long-term air and water quality planning and help meet the State’s air quality and water supply goals.
- Identify appropriate clean energy policy tools to support and sustain Georgia’s economic growth and prosperity, while protecting Georgia’s natural resources and quality of life.
- Promote the implementation of cost-effective clean energy policies that improve Georgia’s air and water quality, advance Georgia’s economic development and save consumers money.
- Develop analytic capacity to (1) accurately quantify the emissions reductions likely to result from potential clean energy policies and, (2) accurately capture the full range of environmental, public health and economic benefits of energy, transportation and environmental policies designed to reduce atmospheric emissions.
