Pennsylvania

Clean Energy Environment State Program

Technical assistance is one of the most important contributions the federal government can make towards advancing energy and environmental initiatives in the states. Often, states have financial resources and staff available for project deployment and implementation, but don't have all of the necessary tools to do complex modeling that can aid in project evaluation and planning.

In Pennsylvania, we are seeking to develop market-based incentives to support clean energy development and to promote energy efficiency. Providing opportunities for energy efficiency and renewables to participate in various trading programs, such as the Small Source NOx Program in Southeastern Pennsylvania, provides another incentive to promote clean-energy projects that can improve our environment. We look forward to partnering with EPA to develop market-based approaches to clean energy promotion.
